Yogi Fred had a little shop in Malibu back in the sixties. He taught Hatha Yoga exercises and sold copies of a strange little book titled the Bhagavad Gita. At 17, his stare unnerved my erudite sensibility. "What do you want?" Panicked, my eyes searched the room for something to buy. The Bhagavad Gita found its way home with me and started me on the path of Yoga ... Union with God.

As told by Swami Shankarananda.

Unity and Oneness are at the core of yoga practices. Yoga means - providing connection. In spiritual terms, Yoga is composed of activities that enable each of us to connect with Infinite Expression. Asanas that place the body in specific positions, are only a very small part of Yogic Practice. There is also:

· Karma Yoga, connection through action practiced by Gandhi.
· Bhakti Yoga, connection through devotion practiced by Ramakrishna.
· Jnana Yoga, connection through the mind practiced by many great teachers.
· Raja Yoga, the Royal Yoga, set forth by Patanjali and Shankaracharya.

These Yogas are the basis of a specific series of Sadhana Lessons.
